Overview
Park Hyatt Milano epitomizes luxury in the heart of the fashion capital. With an opulent marble design, attentive service, and a prime location, the hotel offers an unforgettable experience for cosmopolitans, fashionistas, and adventurers alike. We had the privilege of staying at Park Hyatt Milano during the Italian Grand Prix race weekend and got to not only witness Ferrari take the podium but also explore the city thanks to the hotel’s proximity to the iconic Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and the Duomo.
Check In
A week before arrival, we received a confirmation email requesting our estimated arrival time. Despite the busy race weekend, the hotel accommodated our early check-in. Located centrally, the hotel is easily accessible, and we frequently used the nearby Duomo metro stop.
The exterior of the hotel draws inspiration from nearby landmarks. The beige facade and marble design offer a seamless transition from the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele to Park Hyatt Milano. Although the check-in area is small due to limited real estate, the marble design extends into the lobby, maintaining a grandiose appearance. The hotel also features an open glass skylight above the breakfast dining room, reminiscent of the Galleria.
We were warmly greeted and quickly checked in. Although we were not given a globalist upgrade, the concierge offered excellent local recommendations and race weekend events. We were personally escorted to our room and shown all the hotel amenities.
Room | Standard King Room
Our Standard King Room was the best we have ever stayed in. It seamlessly combined grand marble elements with warm wood and soft fabrics. Upon entering, we were greeted with a special Formula 1 cookie and a handwritten card on the console table, which also featured a coffee maker, a selection of tea, and a mini-fridge. Separate sets of drinking glasses, coffee mugs, and espresso glasses highlighted the Italian love for coffee. A small plant added extra warmth to the room.
The king bed was incredibly comfortable, complemented by plush pillows and soft sheets. A sleek fabric footboard bench added a touch of elegance. Large arched windows brought in ample sunlight, with adjustable blinds for convenience. We kept the curtains open most of our stay since we were on a high floor but appreciated the blackout curtains for sleep.
The room had plenty of space. A small round coffee table with an ottoman chair was in the corner. The functional bedside tables offered reading lamps, charging docks, drawers, and storage space underneath. One table had a notepad with a hotel-branded pen, which wrote wonderfully, and you can request a new one as a souvenir upon checkout.

Bathroom
The bathroom, nearly the size of the room, featured a wide sink and dressing area, a standalone bathtub, a walk-in shower, and a toilet closet with a bidet. A vertical closet was conveniently located in the bathroom. With various lighting fixtures and a window with curtain settings, the bathroom was both luxurious and practical. High-end toiletries, bathrobes, and slippers were provided, with slippers coming in different sizes for added comfort.
Breakfast
Free daily breakfast was included for us as Hyatt Globalists. The breakfast dining room was incredible with the open skylight dome and luxurious seating. The buffet offered both Western and Eastern food options, and as part of the globalist breakfast, guests could order one complimentary item from the menu, such as an omelet or a waffle. At the center of the dining room, there was an additional pastry station. We thoroughly enjoyed breakfast each morning, trying a variety of options. The latte art on the coffee, featuring a Formula 1 car, added a delightful touch.
Amenities
The main amenities offered by the hotel are the gym and spa, both located on the basement floor. Although small, the gym was fully equipped, including a bench press rack, which is a rare find in hotel gyms. An open jacuzzi was available for all guests, and each gender’s locker room had a sauna. Refreshments, snacks, and shaving kits were provided in the gym and spa areas.
Daily turndown service is offered. In addition to tidying up the room, the housekeepers left small snacks and refilled bottled water. Bottled water is complimentary and can be requested at any time. The housekeeper delivered our water in a very nice paper bag that we also took home as a souvenir.
Activities
The prime location is the biggest draw of Park Hyatt Milano. Many famous landmarks are within walking distance. In addition to the Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II and the Duomo, the hotel is close to the Sforzesco Castle, Starbucks Roastery Reserve, and the Pinacoteca Ambrosiana, which houses Raphael’s famous cartoon of The School of Athens. The nearby high-end shopping district, with its designer boutiques and charming cafes, offers endless opportunities for exploration and window shopping. For those interested in art, the nearby museums and galleries provide a rich cultural experience.
During the race weekend, Ferrari events were held at nearby stores, adding to the excitement. The hotel’s central location made it easy to partake in the vibrant atmosphere and numerous activities happening around the city.
Conclusion
Park Hyatt Milano truly lived up to its reputation as one of the best hotels in Milan. Our three-day stay in Milan was enhanced by the hotel’s luxurious design, attentive service, and unbeatable location. It provided a perfect base for attending the Monza race and exploring the city’s many attractions. Whether you are in Milan for business, pleasure, or a special event like the Monza race, Park Hyatt Milano offers an exceptional experience that combines comfort, elegance, and convenience. We left with wonderful memories and a desire to return in the future.
